RAAus Technical Manual Section 5.1 (7)

If you have recently sold or purchased an RAAus registered aircraft, there are a few paperwork requirements that will need to be satisfied. RAAus has not specified who is responsible for supplying the required documents. It is the responsibility of the buyer and seller to negotiate who will supply the documentation.

Once the responsible party has been decided please follow the 3 simple steps below to complete the transfer process:

1. Complete Tech Form 026 - Transfer of registration [PDF 201.56 KB]

      • Please note that this form requires the signatures of both the seller and the buyer of the aircraft. An incomplete form will require our team to send this paperwork back to you for completion which may  result in delays in processing time.

2. Arrange for an unrestricted L2 maintenance authority holder (or LAME by prior arrangement with the RAAus Tech Manager) to complete Tech Form 013 - Recreational aircraft condition report (All aircraft) [PDF 168.32 KB] for the aircraft being sold/purchased.

      • This inspection is valid for thirty days.
      • Photos showing all registration markings must accompany Tech Form 13 and must be signed and dated if provided to RAAus in hard copy - emailed photographs are accepted as sent.
      • Photographs of the MTOW and Warning placards fitted with the aircraft cockpit as per Section 9 of the Technical Manual.

3. Forward all above documents to the RAAus office with payment within 7 days of the sale.

More information about this process can be found in the RAAus Technical Manual Section 5.1 (7).
